Listing Terms (Directory Submissions)

Pasties & Pints (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs a Cornwall directory and travel guide.
These terms apply when you submit, claim, or manage a listing on our website (“listing”).

1) Who can submit a listing

By submitting a listing you confirm that you:

  • are the owner, organiser, or authorised representative, and

  • have the right to share the information, images and branding you upload.

2) What a “listing” includes

A listing can include places, businesses, attractions, beaches, pubs, accommodation, services, and (later) events and event organisers.

3) Free listings (for now)

Submitting a standard listing is currently free.

In future we may add optional paid features (for example featured placements). If we do, we’ll make pricing and what you get clear at the point of purchase, and we’ll update these terms.

4) Accuracy and keeping things up to date

You’re responsible for making sure your listing is accurate and current, including:

  • opening times, prices, seasonal closures

  • contact details, website and social links

  • location/town information

  • any claims like “dog friendly”, “accessible”, “parking”, etc.

If something changes, please update your listing (or contact us to update it).

5) Moderation and approval

We’re building a useful Cornwall directory, so we may review listings before they go live.

We can:

  • approve, reject, or request changes

  • edit wording for clarity, formatting, spelling, categories, tags, and location details (without changing the meaning)

  • unpublish or remove a listing at any time if it breaches these terms or doesn’t fit the site

We don’t guarantee a listing will be published, even if it’s submitted correctly.

6) What you’re not allowed to submit

Don’t submit anything that is:

  • false, misleading, or impersonating someone else

  • offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal

  • spammy, “keyword stuffed”, or unrelated promotion

  • copyrighted content you don’t have permission to use (including photos, logos, text)

7) Photos, logos and content rights

You keep ownership of what you upload.

But by submitting content, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

  • display it on Pasties & Pints

  • use it to promote your listing and the directory (for example on category pages, internal features, or social posts that point back to your listing)

You confirm you have the rights to upload and share everything you submit.

8) Links, bookings and third parties

Listings may link to third-party sites (including yours). We don’t control those sites and we’re not responsible for them.

Any bookings, purchases, visits, or agreements are between you and the customer.

9) Directory disclaimer (important)

Pasties & Pints is a directory and travel guide. We don’t provide the services in listings and we can’t guarantee:

  • quality, availability, pricing, safety, or suitability

  • that every detail will always be correct at all times

Visitors should always check details directly with the business/venue before travelling.

10) Removal requests

If you want your listing updated or removed, contact us at: CONTACT

We may ask for proof you’re authorised to make the request.

We may also remove listings that are permanently closed, repeatedly inaccurate, or breach these terms.

11) Privacy

If you submit personal data (for example a name, phone number, or email address), we’ll handle it in line with our Privacy Policy: [link your privacy policy page]

12) Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If you continue to use/managing your listing after changes, you agree to the updated terms.

13) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
