About Pasties & Pints
Pasties & Pints is a Cornwall guide built on first-hand visits, honest opinion, and practical local judgement.
The aim is simple: help people find the Cornwall that is actually worth their time. Beaches, walks, pubs, food, towns, villages, attractions, and local places with something real to offer.
This is not a generic travel directory. Pasties & Pints is written from a Cornish point of view, with a focus on useful detail, honest recommendations, and places that deserve attention.
Recommendations and reviewed places
Pasties & Pints includes recommendation guides for selected Cornwall categories.
These guides are built from places that have been visited, reviewed, and judged properly. They are not copied round-ups, vague “best of” lists, or paid placements.
Where places appear in recommendation lists, the order is guided by our own internal rating system and honest editorial judgement. The numbers stay behind the scenes because the public result should feel simple, useful, and human: would I recommend it, and how strongly?
A place only appears once it has been properly looked at, so the recommendation guides are incomplete by design. They will grow over time as more locations are visited, reviewed, and added.
If a business is missing, it does not mean it has been ruled out. It may simply not have been reviewed yet.
Recommendations may also change over time. Cornwall does not stand still, and neither should the guide. If a place is revisited, improved, changed, or new information is added, its position or recommendation may be updated.
What is coming next
Pasties & Pints will be adding more focused recommendation guides across Cornwall food, drink, pubs, pasties, fish and chips, walks, beaches, towns, villages, and days out.
The goal is to build useful, honest guides people can actually trust — not vague recommendations, paid praise, or “best of” pages with no real judgement behind them.
